What Is a Mini Goldendoodle?
A Mini Goldendoodle is a hybrid cross of a Golden Retriever (or an F1 Goldendoodle) mom and a Miniature Poodle dad. This combination gives you a dog with the Golden Retriever’s easygoing temperament but minimal shedding — a puppy that’s typically healthier and more hypoallergenic than a purebred Golden Retriever, in a compact size.
At Country Mini Doodle Farms, we only breed what we consider true F1 (First Generation) Mini Goldendoodles and F1B Mini and Toy Goldendoodles. We never breed multigeneration Goldendoodles (a Goldendoodle bred back to a Goldendoodle) because there’s no reliable way to predict whether the parents will pass more golden or poodle traits to their puppies. With the crosses we breed, and our proven Miniature Poodle dads, we know what to expect in every litter. That’s why you’ll probably notice a difference in the way our Mini Goldendoodles look compared to other Goldendoodle breeders who use multigeneration breeding.
The Country Mini Doodle Farms Difference

- TRUE Mini / Toy Goldendoodles: All our puppies are bred using non-surgical trans-cervical artificial insemination, which is the only way to get a True Mini or Toy Goldendoodle. Our F1 Mini and F1B Mini/Toy litters require artificial insemination because of the size difference between our Golden Retriever and Miniature Poodle parents. It’s the only reliable way to produce a true Mini or Toy, not just a smaller dog from an unplanned pairing.
- Experienced Breeding since 2005: Country Mini Doodle Farms is one of the earliest Mini Goldendoodle breeders in the US, with two decades behind every litter.
- DNA Health and Trait Testing: Every parent dog is DNA tested for health and trait markers by Embark before being bred.
- Inspected Facilities: Our breeding facilities are inspected at least once a year by County Animal Services.
- Raised On a Family Farm: All of our parent dogs live on our farm in Summerfield, FL, and every puppy is raised here too.
- 2-year Genetic Health Guarantee: Every puppy goes home with a 2-year health guarantee against genetic issues, with a 1-year extension if you keep the puppy on NuVet Plus immune system builder. Should something arise during the guarantee period, we will cover the cost of treatment up to the price of the puppy.

F1B MINI GOLDENDOODLES
An F1B Mini Goldendoodle is a cross between an F1 Goldendoodle and a Miniature Poodle and is also produced through artificial insemination. This cross adds more hypoallergenic qualities, since F1B puppies are about ¾ Poodle and ¼ Golden Retriever. It’s a great option for families managing dog allergies. Our F1B Minis typically weigh 25–40 lbs. full grown.
F1B TOY GOLDENDOODLES
Our F1B Toy Goldendoodles are a cross between a Mini Goldendoodle and a Miniature Poodle, also produced through artificial insemination. This cross adds even more hypoallergenic qualities and further reduces adult size. It’s a great fit for families managing allergies who also want a smaller dog. Our Toys typically weigh 15–25 lbs. full grown.
